We had our own little Paris Roubaix today for the second race in the QLD Foodworks Team Series.
It was a dry, 130km road race on some narrow, sketchy roads that were full of potholes and cow-dung.  Most of the course was flat however [...]

So we have raced  round 1 of the Foodworks series and it was a fantastic event.  The team really rode well together and we were very happy with our result, finishing in 6th position for the day.  A big thanks to Pirate who stepped up and joined the team for the event, he buried himself [...]

A quick update from Warrnambool following an epic day racing the Melbourne to Warrnambool.
My mind is a little fried so I’ll keep it simple:
- 5hrs sleep
- 4 degrees, dark & raining when we left motel
- I had 5 layers on, Bobo countless & looked like Michelin Man!
- 7 degrees, sunny & 40kph WSW wind [...]

I can only write this one down as a learning experience:
3 flats in the first 30kms. I then soloed, off the back, for 150kms to the finish. A hard day. It’s held on an awesome course, must do next year!
Hopefully my luck is in for the rest of the races this year.

Annually, the UQ Cycle Club organises the Charles Coin – Laidley Wheels of Fire road race . This year, it consisted of 7 loops of an 18km circuit with significant wind and hills to contend with. The Anzac25 race is held annually by the Hamilton Wheelers club in honour of service men and women from the cycling community.  For the past few years the race has been held over 25 laps at the Lakeside motor racing circuit at Petire on Brisbane’s north.
