Foodworks Teams Series Rnd2
KRISTIAN GOT THIRD!!!
Foodworks Teams Series Rnd2 – Finish from UQ Cycle on Vimeo.
We had our own little Paris Roubaix today for the second race in the QLD Foodworks Team Series.
It was a dry, 130km road race on some narrow, sketchy roads that were full of potholes and cow-dung. Most of the course was flat however [...]

So we have raced round 1 of the Foodworks series and it was a fantastic event. The team really rode well together and we were very happy with our result, finishing in 6th position for the day. A big thanks to Pirate who stepped up and joined the team for the event, he buried himself [...]

A quick update from Warrnambool following an epic day racing the Melbourne to Warrnambool.
My mind is a little fried so I’ll keep it simple:
- 5hrs sleep
- 4 degrees, dark & raining when we left motel
- I had 5 layers on, Bobo countless & looked like Michelin Man!
- 7 degrees, sunny & 40kph WSW wind [...]

I can only write this one down as a learning experience:
3 flats in the first 30kms. I then soloed, off the back, for 150kms to the finish. A hard day. It’s held on an awesome course, must do next year!
Hopefully my luck is in for the rest of the races this year.

2010 Cunningham Classic – Elite A By Dave
167kms. Not a short day in the saddle by any means. The race started off at a modest pace with the field strung out single file for the first 5-10kms along the windy, flatlands before the climb started. Already a few riders had tried their hand off the [...]

Day 2
Stage 3, an undulating 120km Road Race consisting of 4 laps around Roadvale, started at a more civilized time of 10:15am. This allowed the Ben, Kristian and Myself a few extra winks of sleep. The later two even more so as we stayed the night in Harrisville, 20 minutes down the road.
Despite the extra [...]

Oakey 2 day
The weekend saw John and Me head 150kms west of Brisbane to Oakey for 2 days of racing, what a baptism of fire into Elite A that turned out to be!!!
While the heat steadily subsided for the Criterium on Saturday afternoon, someone forgot to tell the 5 riders who broke away from the pack after [...]
Sizzling Summer Series – Rnd 2
The Sizzling Summer Series (some have dubbed it the Drizzling Summer Series due to the weather of late) is upon us this year and has been Team Guitar-Gym Orbea’s first hitouts of the season. Last week Ben, John and I raced in atrocious conditions but Round 2 saw a special arrival for the team.
New Kits [...]
