Name: Michael Davis
Nickname: Mavis
Age: 35
Role: Rider (Team Captain)
About: I started racing bikes at the age of 12. Discovering I had a natural talent for the sport, cycling became my childhood passion. My dream was to become a professional cyclist, but this dream was ended by severe illness in late 1997, and a realisation that my education must also be nurtured.
The following years were spent gaining a degree in Computer Science, getting married, and starting a family. In 2007 I rediscovered the drive to start bike racing again.
Name: Ben Manson
Nickname: Ben Manson
Age: 34
Role: Rider
About: I started racing bikes at age 15 progressing from ‘go’ to ‘scratch’ in the weekly Bundaberg handicaps in the space of a year. I continued local club racing during high school and University. I started Elite racing in 2000, although sporadically due to work commitments in various parts of the country.
Since then I have progressed from B grade to being competitive in A grade and aim to continue improving my A grade results.

About: After many years away from the sport I re found my love of cycling in 2008. With a focused training program I found myself competing at the sharp end of Elite B for 2009 and 2010. Stepping up to A Grade in mid 2010 my goal for season 2011 is to focus on riding as a team and to get experience of racing in the national series.

Name: David Hanson
Nickname: Stubbles
Age: 26
Role: Rider (Domestique)
About: Having grown up around bikes I rode for recreation, due to studies and other sporting commitments, until September 2008. My father, who raced as a schoolboy, read that the Grafton to Inverell was coming up and thought I should race it, as it was one race he never entered. Having finished Division 3 in 23rd, was hooked by competitive cycling. I raced Elite B throughout 2009 and look forward to the challenge of riding competitively in Elite A during 2010.
